The "Meet the People Who Care" non-profit project empowers local people by providing opportunities for development and promotion and selling of their products.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Meet the people's tour with the goal of taking travellers to meet the ‘real' people of the region. This has blossomed into the "Meet the People Who Cares" non-profit project which empowers local people by providing opportunities for development and promotion and selling of their products.
It also assists local projects that benefit the local community, such as the building of a small crèche, to assist with caring for disabled children in one of the townships.
Furthermore, there are projects assisting both the community and the environment like the planting of lemon trees in public areas within Great Brak River.
