Most canoeists head for the Touw River Waterfall, pack a picnic, your swimwear and towels then paddle from Eden Adventures up the beautiful Touw River through the indigenous forest, where you can stop if you wish and enjoy the abundant birdlife.
The paddling is easy so you can take your time after about 40 minutes you will reach a point where it becomes too shallow and too narrow to continue.
Here you leave the canoe's they will be perfectly safe on the right hand side of the river.
From here you follow the path up onto the bank, on the top of the bank, you will come across a stunning 2 km long boardwalk take your time to enjoy this walk savor the scenery, the board walk leads you eventually to your destination, the Touw River Waterfall.
Relax, here it is safe to swim, enjoy your picnic and return via the same way a great day.

You will have a choice of three canoe routes.
The Touw River Waterfall (described above) Island view around 1.5 hours - 2 hours paddling along the Serpentine River and then into a tributary of the Touw River. Although the scenery is not spectacular, it is often excellent for great bird watching.
Or you can take the route to the beach.
