A VIP lounge at the George Airport, room service, satellite television, valet, and state-of-the-art conference and corporate entertaining facilities that are of the highest international standards. The fully-equipped and professionally-staffed Fancourt Spa, which incorporates a sauna, steamroom, tepidarium and gymnasium with personal trainer, includes a heated indoor Roman bath and jacuzzi, a hair salon and Cherot, Fancourt's exclusive ladies fashion boutique.
Other facilities include three golf shops, Golf Academy, a deli, mini-cinema, billiards room and jewellery shop. A real-estate office and showroom featuring premium Fancourt residential homes and 24-hour security is also available.
At Fancourt, every child is a guest in his own right and gets a very special welcome. Children's activities are planned to accommodate all ages and interests. From supplying cots, PlayStations and DVD's, to a number of activities, such as pastry making or treasure hunts through the hotel, plus a range of services including birthday parties, special menus, babysitting or a day out, nothing is left to chance. OUTDOOR PURSUITS
All four of our 18-hole Gary Player designed golf courses (Montagu, Outeniqua, The Links and Bramble Hill) are rated in the Top 100 in South Africa. Course architect, David McLay Kidd, remodeled the Montagu Golf Course in 2004. Other golfing facilities include a warm-up area, three well-stocked golf shops and a Golf Academy with full time teaching professionals and the only full-system TaylorMade facility in Africa.
For non-golfers, outdoor pursuits include fishing, cycling, tennis courts, outdoor and indoor swimming pools and running / walking trails. Mountain biking, picnics, horse riding and walks can be arranged on request. Open sea bathing and glorious beaches are within close distance.
CONFERENCE FACILITIES
The Fancourt Conference Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and video conferencing. It has a variety of rooms including a banquet hall (350 max) and six meeting rooms (including three boardrooms).
DINING
Six fine restaurants offer a variety of dining experiences and bear testimony to Fancourt's reputation as purveyors of fine cuisine. These are open to resort guests and the general public.
Grill Room:
Situated in the Clubhouse, next to Le Pêcheur, the Grill Room serves the best steaks in town!
La Cantina:
Antipasto, pasta, pizza and fish of the day is served in a warm Mediterranean atmosphere.
Le Pêcheur:
Situated in the Clubhouse, Le Pêcheur specialises in fresh sushi and seafood.
Links Lodge:
Situated next to The Links Clubhouse, this restaurant offers an intimate ambiance with a true culinary experience of Fusion Cuisine - a combination of flavours from around the world.
Sansibar:
Situated in the Manor House, Sansibar serves modern African cuisine in an authentic African setting.
The Morning Glory:
Situated in the spa, The Morning Glory overlooks the first tee of the Outeniqua golf course and offers healthy, light fare with an emphasis on organic produce.
REAL ESTATE
Freehold residential homes and resort lodges, built discreetly along the golf courses, cater to different lifestyles. The residential homes identify with South Africa's Cape Dutch architectural tradition and are ideal for buyers looking for a permanent base while the resort lodges can be bought as residential or holiday homes.
They can also form part of a rental pool system whereby the hotel utilises the lodge when owners are not in residence or be owned by a syndicate, entitling buyers to either four or six weeks exclusive use a year. New additions to the Real Estate offering include Links Ridge, located alongside The Links and Bramble Hill, and the upcoming Montagu Ridge development.
