Oystercatcher Luxury Guided Hiking Trail - 3 days
The Oystercatcher luxury fully guided hiking trail offers educational insight, through interaction, into the plight of these amazing, highly endangered birds, coastal dune fauna and flora as well as historic cultures of the region.
The trail is a three day / two night educational experience where you hike on the local cliff edge, rocky shoreline and sandy beaches with a professional guide. The accommodation is in four- and five star quality graded Cape Fisherman's Cottages and all meals are included.
The coastal trail takes you from the historic St. Blaize cave in Mossel Bay to the Gourits River in three days of hiking with panoramic views from the cliff edge and beaches. It is situated on the Garden Route.
Day 1: Arrive in Boggoms Bay via our transfer or self drive and settle into your luxury cottage. A briefing will be held at the dinner table at the fireplace before or after dinner.
Day 2; Meet your guide after breakfast and hike on the beach and rocky shoreline via historic Fransmanshoek and over the huge Kanon dunes to Cape Vacca Private Nature Reserve. Overnight here or we take you back to your luxury cottage at Boggoms Bay.
Day 3: After breakfast you hike along the coast to Gourits River Mouth and then up river along the bakn to Steentjiesgat, a great swimming spot. From here you go back to Cape Vacca passing through coastal shrub where birdlife abounds.

4. Water bottles (It is very important to drink enough water). Please also bring your own water bottles. We supply 500ml mineral water with the lunch pack each day.

Only take pictures and leave footprints behind!

No removal of ANYTHING from the trail.
Bring your fishing and bait permit if you want to fish.
