The Point Hotel offers 52 four-star luxury sea facing, en suite bedrooms, each with their own private balcony. Enjoy spectacular views over the Indian Ocean and unwind with a drink while watching the majestic sea life, which includes dolphins, humpback and southern right whales.
Each room is equipped with Mnet and DSTV, international plug points, remote control ceiling fans, panel heaters, direct dial telephones, tea and coffee station, a lock up safe to ensure a comfortable stay and an internet access point with Wi-Fi hot spots located throughout the hotel.
The hotel is full accessible with hydraulic lifts, servicing all floors and wheelchair friendly rooms and bathrooms. The Lighthouse Restaurant serves sumptuous buffet breakfast and offers a Provencal-Style Mediterranean a la carte menu as well as set menus and buffets for groups.
Directly below The Point Hotel is the largest tidal pool on the South African coast, formed by natural rocks, this area is a popular place even as low tide and offers safe bathing for guests. Next to the hotel, you'll find a fantastic spot to wind down with some surfing. Frequented by local and international surfers, it's not to be missed.
Behind the hotel and perched above the Mossel Bay peninsula is the St. Blaize Lighthouse. Erected in 1864, this is definitely a historical site for tourists with awesome views of the majestic Indian Ocean. Directly below the lighthouse is the Khoi-San cave inhabited by the indigenous Khoi-San people, this is the site, which Bartholomeo Diaz first witnessed during his discovery voyage of the Southern Cape. Another famous attraction is the famous St. Blaize walking trail, which follows a contour path for 15km to Dana Bay.
As the day winds down and the African sun falls below the horizon, guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Point area, where the public facilities recently underwent an upgrade. This has made the Point an attractive and safe environment to enjoy with different restaurants offering fare ranging from seafood and Italian to Tapas - there is something to suit everyone's taste.

The Point hotel has a unique location built on rocks above the largest tidal pool on the South African coastline, and facing the Indian Ocean. This privately owned hotel with spacious, modern, sea facing, en-suite rooms and private balconies, will offer you the most exhilarating views. The Hotel is paraplegic friendly and all floors are serviced with a hydraulic lift and serviced by surveillance cameras.
Conference Facilities
This is one of the few conference centres to have absolutely stunning views over the sea and rocks. All standard conferencing equipments are available.
Business Media Centre
The hotel has a beautifully appointed private Business Centre located on the ground floor. It accommodates a maximum of 10 persons. The Business Centre offers telephone, computer and printing facilities as well as Internet access.
The Lighthouse Restaurant
Perched on the rocks on the edge of the Mossel Bay Peninsula, just below the St. Blaize Lighthouse, the Point Hotel's Lighthouse Restaurant must surely have one of the most dramatic settings in the country.
An a la carte menu caters for all tastes, serving an assortment of cosmopolitan fare. The restaurant serves sumptuous breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as snacks throughout the day.
