Akkerboom Country Cottages comprises six self-catering cottages nestled along a stream between the Langeberg Mountains and the Little Karoo on a working fruit farm.  The cottages offer an ideal family holiday venue two and a half hours from Cape Town.  The farm lays 38km from Montagu at the top of the Op de Tradouw pass between Montagu and Barrydale on Route 62 and offers stunning views of the Langeberg.  Each cottage comprises en suite bedrooms in Cape cottage style with dakriet ceilings, kaggels and tiled floors with private braai facilities.  Cottages are screened by indigenous shrubs with stunning views down the Tradouw Valley and onto the orchards and mountains.
